A trip should feel personal, not packaged

I plan trips the way I'd want mine planned, personally, with real care for the small details that make the difference between a good trip and a forgettable one.

That instinct comes from growing up in the business. My mom ran her own vacation villa rental agency, one of the first of its kind, and I worked alongside her for years before going out on my own. Travel filled the years in between too, childhood trips to London, where my father is from; backpacking through Europe, Semester at Sea, many trips to the Caribbean, the northern lights in Iceland, sea lions and penguins in the Galápagos, autumn in Japan, and sunsets from our old family condo on Simpson Bay, St. Martin.

Now I get to put all that experience to use, matching the right destination and the right hotel or villa to how someone actually likes to travel, not just where they say they want to go. If a good trip is really made in the planning, that's the part I actually love.
